Beach-y Keen!

We spent the afternoon and evening at our favorite picnic spot. It is a great little state park in Gallatin. There is a sandy little beach with a swimming area, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and a playground! We started on the sand. Zac was armed with a shovel.
Ty led Max and Mia into the water. It was so warm! It has been HOT here in Tennessee.
While Ty and the kids swam, I took Zac back to our picnic spot to cook dinner. Zac had a little towel to play on and a little radio to listen to.
He had himself a happy little time :)
I grilled sweet potatoes seasoned with cumin, and salmon marinated in chili powder and brown sugar. We ate it with some fresh pineapple. It was a nice change from the usual cookout food; hot dogs and hamburgers!
After dinner we took everyone over to the playground. Zac ate graham crackers while he sat in the baby swing.
Cameo picture of me! I was there!
Mia on the swings. She has always loved the swings. I keep thinking she will outgrow them, but she loves them still.
Max is my adventurous child on the playground. He climbed the ladders and even mastered the monkey bars. He is so amazing :)
It was nice to be outside and wonderful to spend some time together as a family.
